New Pro Bono Platform Will Offer Legal Help to Ukrainians
An American legaltech company will cooperate with Ukrainian nonprofit organizations to support Ukrainians during Russia’s invasion.
Legaltech company Paladin will provide technical support to let Ukrainians consult with attorneys from the Ukrainian union “Legal Development Network” (LDN). Those who seek help can use a chatbot and, if their request matches the pro bono assistance, they can contact LDN legal specialists for free.
One more Ukrainian non-governmental institution LinGo will also take part in the cooperation with Paladin. Within providing legal assistance to Ukrainians, LinGo will manage lawyers’ volunteer networks.
Paladin CEO Kristen Sonday shared that offering its tech services for assisting Ukrainians on legal matters is an honor for the company. “All of us have been devastated watching the war in Ukraine unfold, and we want to help however we can,” Sonday added.
Legal professionals eligible to practice in European countries (Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova, etc.) are welcome to register on the portal.
According to the first LDN data, the most popular requests for legal help were immigration matters, work relocation, labor rights, and support for socially vulnerable groups.
