The U.S. Supreme Court Will Review Vaccine Mandate at New York Schools

The Supreme Court agreed to reconsider its recent vaccine mandate due to religious objections as New York City teachers requested.
Previously, several times Justice Sonia Sotomayor declined the appeal from the public-school employees to review the vaccine mandate. Then, the workers submitted the same request to the other Justice Neil Gorsuch. In the similar Maine’s legal case, he had objected to blocking the local vaccine mandate.
However, the new petition was not accepted due to the limitations that New York had for religious accommodations. In the Maine case, local school workers claimed that the mandate violated their rights.
The New York plaintiffs are said to have weaker arguments which may lead to their job loss or religious integrity. However, their new request will be debated in early March.
